Spring Weekend – Pembrokeshire

12th to 15th April 2024

We set off on Thursday morning with Gerald and Mary to stay overnight in Hereford, as I was told it was too far to do in one day!

We can recommend the premier inn in Hereford for a stop over. We had a good drive down to St Florence the next day and arrived at the house mid afternoon, to a lovely welcome from Jane and Alan and staff, we were shown to our rooms and then we sat outside at the front of the house and had a pot of tea and Welsh cakes….delicious and much needed!

Soon everyone started to arrive, most of us had started our journey on the Thursday and some drove down on the Friday, two couples came on the Thursday enjoying an extra day. We had arranged to have evening meals at the house but you could go to the pub at the end of the drive, apparently the meal were excellent there too. Jane cooked some excellent meals, all three evening menus were different which was great, we had drinks in the bar and coffee in the lounge after the meal……It was great having the house to ourselves!

The weather could have been kinder but at least we still had the roof down when we went for a drive to St David on the Sunday to have a look around their beautiful cathedral. On the Saturday we walked into Tenby and had a walk around, it was very windy……..having a taxi back as the weather turned to drizzle!

We all agreed that we would like to go back in the next couple of years but may go midweek and let taffmog members know we are coming, as they have taken other Morgan groups out for a drive or suggested places to go that are Morgan friendly.

Definitely a place I would recommend with or without the Morgan, plenty of places to go to….a very friendly run establishment offering a tennis court, play area, games room, lawned gardens. A great place to take family too!
